- To design and synthesise novel macrocyclic ligands and to study their coordination behaviour towards oxocations such as UO2(VI), VO(IV) , ZrO(IV) and MoO2(VI).
- To study the axial sites control by Peripheral substituents in superstructured dibenzotetraaza[14]annulene Ni(II) complexes.
- Chemical synthesis of Amavadin, which is a natural product, biosynthesised in mushrooms of genus Amanita, and is a 1:2 complex of Vanadium(IV) with (S,S)-2,2-(hydroxyimino)dipropionic acid, [V(S,S-HIDPA)2].
- Synthesis of meso- and optically active R,R- and S,S- forms of the ligand (N-hydroxyiminodipropionic acid) and to study its coordination behaviour towards Molybdenum and Uranium.
- To explore the catalytic activity of selenium based compounds within the green chemistry synthetic requirements. The model reaction was oxidation of 2-methyl-1,4-dimethoxynaphthalene to 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone ( Menadione or Vit. K3 ).
