NERIST received funds from World Bank under TEQIP II (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme). The proposed Project, second phase of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme is fully integrated with the Eleventh Five‐year Plan objectives for Technical Education as a key component for improving the quality of Education in existing institutions.
The Project focussed on the following objectives:
Strengthening institutions to produce high quality Engineers for better employability,
Scaling‐up Postgraduate Education and demand‐driven Research & Development and Innovation.
Establishing Centres of Excellence for focused applicable research.
Training of faculty for effective Teaching.
Enhancing Institutional and System Management effectiveness.
Improvement in teaching, training and learning facilities (Procurement)
Providing Teaching and Research Assistantships
Enhancement of R&D and institutional consultancy activities
