The civil engineering programme will produce graduates that within a few years of graduation, will

Programme Outcomes (POs):

After undergoing the undergraduate programme of the Department of Civil Engineering, the student should be able to:

PEO1Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals to solve civil engineering problems.
PEO2Design and conduct experiments / simulations as well as analyse and interpret data.
PEO3Design a system, components or process to meet the desired needs within the realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, safety and sustainability.
PEO4Identify, formulate, model and solve civil engineering problems.
PEO5Use the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practices.
PEO6Understand engineering and management aspects effectively and to be able to function on diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
PEO7Understand professional ethics and responsibility to extend the benefit of the civil engineering projects to the society.
PEO8Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, and multicultural societal context in the light of contemporary and environmental issues.
PEO9Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing within the engineering community and with people in the society.
