NERIST Electronics Society

Till date, we human beings have been spectators as well as the inventors to the sudden fission and fusion reactions in uncalculated belligerence of technology. In this techno world, every new thing invented triggers the need of many more to be invented.

To provide a perfect platform for sharing these budding innovative ideas, NES was formed. NES or the NERIST Electronics Society, as it is named, is the first departmental body to be constituted in NERIST in the year 1988. NES is a pioneer body in many student academic activities. All the students, faculty members and technicians of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department are a part of NES. The Executive-body of the Society comprises of some faculty members and students, with the Head of the Department as the President.

Technical exhibitions, technical and non-technical quizzes, group discussions, seminars, etc. are always encouraged by the NES. New technological topics related to Electronics are shared to all with the help of wall magazines.

It requires a unique channel to unleash its brilliant imagination, excellent writing skills and obvious talent to weave an interesting tale. So, the NES has its own annual technical magazine, the Q-point, boosting the creative impulses of our students. The Q-point presents a compendium of articles on emerging areas of technology in the field of Electronics. It was the first technical magazine released in NERIST by any department in the year 1991. This magazine gives sufficient opportunity to innovate technical know how, writing skills and to spread awareness of technical education among the students.

The ultimate goal of NES is to prepare students to become successful technical leaders serving to the purpose of innovation.
