The Silver Jubilee Hall is a central facility of the university, designed to host a wide variety of academic and extracurricular events. This impressive three-storied building with a seating capacity of over 1,100 was inaugurated by Shri Kiren Rijiju, Honorable Union Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India on 18th February 2022. It is fully equipped with centralized air conditioning and offers state-of-the-art technology, including a modern projector system ideal for presentations, screenings, and live video feeds.
Complementing the projector system is dynamic lighting and a high-quality sound system, ensuring seamless and impactful event experiences. This versatile hall can accommodate various event formats, including lectures, seminars, theatre performances, cultural programs, and large-scale conferences. Additionally, the hall offers a backstage area with dressing rooms and other essential facilities to support speakers, performers, and event organizers. As a prime venue for the university’s major events, the Silver Jubilee Hall regularly hosts convocations, NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) and NEPGET counselling sessions, student-led activities, and expert talks. The architectural design of the hall masterfully blends aesthetics with functionality, offering excellent sightlines and acoustics from every seat. The building is also fitted with lifts, ensuring easy access for individuals with disabilities.
