Institute Industry Interaction Cell, NERIST
Institute Industry Interaction Cell (IIIC) is made functional with effect from 19th April 2017 (office order No. Est. 99/2/2014-vol-IV/4380) to look after all the activity related to industry academia relationship of our esteemed university
This cell is created to bridge the gap between industry requirement in current scenario and our traditional class room teaching. It is also essentially required to build a strong relationship with Industry for providing better opportunities to our students. This cell can give platform / information to find latest research topics and ongoing projects in industries.
To meet this requirement Institute- Industry cell is getting support from all the departments through nominated members for the cell.
Roles and Responsibilities of Institute Industry Interaction Cell, NERIST
- To give industrial exposure to Faculty members and students, thus enabling them to tune their Knowledge to cope with the industrial culture
- To organize Workshop on trending technologies by experts in the field
- To assist the Departments in organizing workshops, conferences and symposia with joint participation of the industries.
- Encouraging Engineers from industries to visit institution to deliver lectures
- To organize industrial visits for Faculty members and students
- To coordinate/ identify industrial partners for proposing ‘Centre for Excellence’.
- To assist the Training and Placement Division
- Visit of industry executives and practicing engineers to the institute for seeing research work and laboratories
- Visits of faculty to industry for study and discussions or delivering lectures on subjects of mutual interest.
- Memoranda of Understanding between the Institute and industries to bring the two sides emotionally and strategically closer.
- Visiting faculty/professors from industries.
- Practical training of students in industries.
