The Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell (IEC) was established in October 2023 to drive the innovation and start-up ecosystem at NERIST. The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), which works under the aegis of IEC is an initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC). MIC focuses on creating and strengthening the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship ecosystem across all Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) through the IICs set up in these institutions to enable them to promote and support student innovations and sustainable start-ups from academic institutions. Prof. (Mrs.) Ningrinla Marchang is currently the President of the IIC at NERIST. The IIC has been actively conducting various activities, a glimpse of which can be had from the Activity section. The IEC is managed by the following committee headed by the Director as Chairman.
