Gandhi, who offered a course on Interfacial Phemenon and Prof. Vijay H. Arakeri suggested me to take this course. It was mandatory in the course work to give one 30 minutes lecture individually by slide presentation(during that time). 30 Marks was allotted in the lecture. Lecture should be physics based with a little bit of mathematics. I gave lecture on contact angle dynamics of liquid droplet on a solid surface collecting and analysing around 40 papers during my Ph.D. course-work and it shouldn't be my Ph.D.  topic. Nobel prize winner Dr. Robert D. Genes (from France) has publications on this topic. Further, Prof. Vijay H. Arakeri brought nano-particle from one of his friends (possibly Prof. M.S. Hegde) in I.I.Sc. and asked me to put in the acoustic resonator to do some experiments. It was not so much useful that time. But I gained some knowledge. In Sweden, Dr. Hyun Sun Park asked me to work on nano-fluid and asked me to write a project. But that time I was a little familiar about its prospect. Therefore I acknowledge Prof. Vijay H. Arakeri, Prof. K.S. Gandhi, and Prof. Hyun Sun Park for this outcome in the form of paper. I also acknowledge Dr. Anand SundarRajan Theerthan and Prof. Bal Raj Sehgal as I got an opportunity to work in Sweden as a Researcher and Hence develop communication with Prof. Hyun Sun Park. I also thank Prof. Kanagaraj Subramani as he allowed to use nano-particles flotation instrument by means of acoustic cavitation, sophiscated liquid conductivity meter probe, viscosity meter probe to Mr. S. Das. I also thank Chemical Engineering Department of IITG to take photographs of liquid nano-fluid droplet for contact angle measurement and absorption spectra measurement and this was communicated by Prof. Subramani Kanagaraj with my request, as Journal reviewer asked for it. I also acknowledge Tezpur University for providing the instrument to measure the size of nano-particles. I also thank NERIST Forestry department for allowing the microscopic photography for the evidence of nano-particle deposition on the solid surface, as Journal reviewer asked for it. I also thank Prof. N. Yadav (Chemistry Department, NERIST) to allow scholar to use his sophisticated Vaccum pump in his laboratory and I also thank NERIST Chesmistry Department. What it is meant by Journal Rreviewer asked for it is that first author was getting rejection from multiple journals with various comments, which has finally been culminated to Thermal Science Engg. Applications-An ASME Journal. Fund was provided partially by NERIST, partially by TEQIP-II, partially by myself. For example Data logger was procured by me, but Mr. Maibam Romio Singh interfaced data-logger with software.)

After joining at NERIST, I found Prof. M.V. Krishna Murthy, Dr. G.S.V.L. Narasimham and their group provided an approach to decouple forced and natural convection from mixed convection. Here situation of internet was extremely poor that time. I approached IISc. librarian to send the said paper by Prof. M.V. KrishnaMurthy and co-workers. IISc librarian responded. As my previous code was damaged due to storage problem, I started developing code on fin heat transfer in Haldia Institute of Technology. In NERIST, we implemented decoupling method provided by Prof. MV. KrishnaMurthy and Co-workers. Mathematical Equations and boundary conditions were considered to be similar for natural and mixed convection. Rather natural convection is a little bit tougher.)

But I included condensation from Isothermal  Fin array which was assigned by my Guides. Upon achieving the target, he reassigned non-isothermal fin array. Their plan was much more ambitious which is connected with some spatial boundary conditions, which was extremely difficult to do that time and even now also, especially 3-Dimensional case. But I tried to attempt and learn how to implement that boundary condition for 2-Dimensional case and it was useful for the case of Rayleigh-Benard convection done by some of my friends in IISc.. But one should realise, it was the continuous insistence of my guides helped me to learn that boundary conditions. Also my Guides helped me how to write thesis. Numerical Code was developed by Fortran-77 (which myself along with College-mates (BEC-1985-89) learnt from Prof. Narayan Chakraborty in B.E.-College (Earlier it was punch Card system)) and this was the first code development, which started in the Year-1991 after finishing my Course-work)

We bought aluminium plate, but machining aluminium plate is very difficult. From Aluminium plate we had to develop fins of duel height. EDM was necessary. When work was started, North-Eastern region was almost in a dark age. We had to take help of outside the North-Eastern region. Thermocouple wire was procured, but thermocouple beads were made outside. We had to calibrate thercouples made by us. We needed controlled environment to do the experiment and hence Air-conditioner was procured (with my own money). We had to develop validation set-up, as reviewer asked for it. We had to procure phase change materials. We had to procure DC source (with my own money) for controlled power supply to the heater, as power fluctuation is havoc in this region. One more data logger was procured with my own money. Moreover, we had to test the experiment many a times to get a conclusion. Initially, Scholar was upset, as expectations were delaying; although we (other scholar and guides) got numerically some interesting results. Guides only understood frustrations of the scholar. Finally, we achieved the good results. There are many difficulties: as for example measuring the amount of phase change material in every experiment, extreme care to be taken to avoid breakage of thermocouple beads, measuring density of phase change material by his own, measuring specific heat capacity by his own, etc. Fund was provided partially by NERIST, partially by TEQIP-II, partially by myself.)

Scientific Achievements:

1). Recently we are able to relate fin heat transfer with the governing parameters by a very simple linear line, which will be very much useful for the designers of heat exchanger for a flow in the laminar range. Although this relation is obtained from the Computational method, but our results validate the experimental results within less than 6%. Here our group are Dr. Maibam Romio Singh and myself.

(2). Finding effective heat transfer from variable fin-height (Numerically as well as Experimentally) by our group (Dr. Kankan Kishore Pathak, Dr. Maibam Romio Singh, Prof. Biplab Das, Dr. Debayan DasGupta, Prof.(Dr.) Pradip Lingfa and myself). It also requires lesser materials and hence it has double benefits.

(3). Our Experimental work on (1/10) th scale pressurised Nuclear Power Reactor Vessel failure and its management to cool the reactor vessel through gap cooling finds a special space in the European Union and it is very much useful for the safety management of present pressurised nuclear reactors. Our group consisted of the European Union and the USA.

(4). My Ph.D. work (both Experimental and Numerical) on Multi-bubble Sonoluminescence
(MBSL) and a Few bubbles Sonoluminescence (FBSL) is one of the most fundamental works in sonoluminescence.

******** Cyber Security and loosing mobile are two biggest threats to the Society of our sphere.  If one looses mobile, mobile thief can manipulate your personality.  Same is applicable for cyber security (for example: e-mail, there is a possibility of Journal/its-indexing by forming new (duplicate) existing web-site; it may be possible to modify Institute Web-site and thereby wrongly presenting Institute information for outsider away from the Institute; it may be possible to project wrongly presenting some personalties' image in facebook; Even it may be possible to manipulate voice recording by artificial means with lip movement; Games may be manipulated; etc. to mention a few) and it is a world-wide problem.

******** During Covid period, Prof. Suman Chakraborty's (IITKGP) invention on blood test patent instrument (which can test all blood related tests) came in facebook with voice in a video form. It seems blood test instrument can be made in Rs. 2000. Hence a vey very cheap (economically) test on blood related test can be done. Whether it is true or false can be judged now. If Prof. Suman Chakraborty did this blood test apparatus, then it is genuinely an excellent apparatus made by him and his group; but if such thing is fictitius, then problem is a very very serious issue as Dortors' Association will be annoyed on Prof. Suman Chakraborty because of completely false Gossip Technology. Doctors' Association will be annoyed on Prof. Suman Chakraborty because poor people can test their each blood test Rs. 5 to 7 with Prof. Suman Chakraborty's instrument, whereas they are paying currently more than around Rs. 200 for each blood test. So Poor people will be annoyed on Doctors.
