NERIST proudly celebrates the outstandingachievement of its distinguished alumnus, Dr.Dipankar Bhattacharya (B.Tech., Electronics &Communication Engineering, Class of 2004; graduatedin 2010), who has been awarded the highlyprestigious Marie Skłodowska-CurieFellowship at Imperial College London, one ofEurope’s most competitive and globally recognizedresearch fellowships.​

Dr. Bhattacharya completed his M.Tech from IITRoorkee and PhD from the University of Auckland, NewZealand. He has held research positions at leadinginternational institutions, including The ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong, École Centrale Nantes(France), and The University of Hong Kong. He iscurrently leading the CASREx (Cable-driven Arm SoftReconfigurable Exoskeleton) project at ImperialCollege London, where his research focuses ondeveloping innovative wearable robotic exosuits forupper-arm rehabilitation of stroke survivors andindividuals with muscle impairments.
