Dr. Umesh Hebbar, Chief Scientist, Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, and Dr. Krishan Kumar, Associate Professor, Rajiv Gandhi University, visited the Department of Food Engineering and Technology, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli on 9 March 2026.
During their visit, they interacted with the Head of the Department and faculty members. As members of the Departmental Postgraduate Committee (DPGC), they held detailed discussions regarding the Ph.D. curriculum, academic structure, and research progress. The meeting also included deliberations on the proposed Doctoral Committee (DC) for the Ph.D. scholars to ensure effective academic guidance and monitoring of research work. The interaction was constructive and provided valuable insights for strengthening the doctoral programme and research activities in the department.
