The Department of Electrical Engineering has been playing a pivotal role in producing scientists and technologists of highest calibre ever since the institute was established. The first batch of students graduated in 1992. The Department follow a two-year modular structure of the institute in undergraduate programmes namely, Base module, Diploma module and Degree module.
To evolve as a Centre of excellence to train students in cutting edge technologies to meet the needs of global industry and to develop them into skilled electrical engineers and inculcate them with human values and professional ethics.
