Yuva Sangam Phase VI under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat commenced on 26th May 2026 with the arrival of 38 students from Uttar Pradesh, accompanied by coordinators and officials from IIM Lucknow, at Naharlagun Railway Station. The delegates were received by the Yuva Sangam team of NERIST, including Dr. Raju Biswas, Dr. Nabam Teyi, Dr. Yamem Tamut, Prof. P.R. Gajurel, volunteers, and organizing members. The guests were warmly welcomed with traditional mufflers reflecting the culture and hospitality of Arunachal Pradesh.
The delegates were escorted to the NERIST campus and accommodated at the CEP Guest House. An Induction Programme was later conducted at the South Campus in the presence of Prof. Narendranath S. (Director, NERIST), Dr. M.K. Camder, Prof. S. Gao, and Prof. P.R. Gajurel. Traditional bags and NERIST sashes were presented to the delegates as tokens of goodwill and cultural exchange.
A Session on Indian Languages was delivered by Dr. Aleendra Brahma from Central Institute of Indian Languages. In the evening, the delegates visited NEEPCO facilities at Sopo, gaining exposure to hydropower infrastructure and the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. The day concluded with dinner at the NERIST campus, marking a successful beginning to the programme.
