The fifth and final day of Yuva Sangam Phase VI under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat marked the successful culmination of an enriching and memorable cultural exchange programme for the delegates from Uttar Pradesh in Arunachal Pradesh, while simultaneously heralding the beginning of a similar journey for the Arunachal Pradesh contingent to Uttar Pradesh.

The day commenced with the continuation of the exposure visit to Ziro Valley, where the delegates visited the scenic Sikhe Lake and enjoyed its serene natural surroundings. This was followed by a visit to Kasa Botanical Park, where the participants explored the picturesque landscape and reflected upon the experiences and learnings they had gained during their stay in Arunachal Pradesh.

Following the completion of the Ziro excursion, the delegates returned to NERIST carrying cherished memories and valuable insights gathered throughout the Yuva Sangam programme.

Prior to the Valedictory Programme, a sapling plantation drive was organized at the NERIST campus. Delegates from Uttar Pradesh, along with the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Special Guests, faculty members, and officials of NERIST, participated in planting saplings as a symbol of friendship, environmental responsibility, and the enduring bond established through Yuva Sangam.

The Valedictory Programme was subsequently held at the Silver Jubilee Hall, NERIST, in the presence of delegates, coordinators, faculty members, officials, and members of the organizing team. The programme featured experience-sharing sessions by the delegates, who expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by NERIST and the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Participants also reflected on the cultural, educational, and social experiences gained during their five-day immersion in the state.

The Chief Guest of the programme, Shri Toko Babu (APCS), Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex, encouraged the delegates from Arunachal Pradesh to make the most of their forthcoming educational exposure visit to Uttar Pradesh. He also urged the delegates from Uttar Pradesh to serve as ambassadors of Arunachal Pradesh upon their return and to share constructive feedback that could contribute to the continued development and improvement of the state.

The Guest of Honour, Prof. Narendranath S., Director, NERIST, spoke on similar lines and highlighted the importance of Yuva Sangam in promoting national integration, cultural understanding, mutual respect, and meaningful engagement among the youth of India. The programme was also graced by Prof. S. K. Nayak, Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, and Prof. Mohan V. Aware, Director, National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh, Jote, as Special Guests.

During the programme, it was highlighted that the Uttar Pradesh contingent had commenced its journey from Lucknow on 24th May 2026 and was received by Team NERIST on 26th May 2026. NERIST served as the coordinating institution for Arunachal Pradesh for Yuva Sangam Phase VI, successfully facilitating the exposure tour from 26th to 30th May 2026. It was further announced that the Arunachal Pradesh contingent, comprising students from NERIST, Rajiv Gandhi University, and National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh, would depart for Uttar Pradesh on 30th May 2026 for their reciprocal exposure visit under the programme. The coordinating institution for Uttar Pradesh is the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow.

Following the Valedictory Programme, a Flag-off Ceremony was organized to formally bid farewell to the Arunachal Pradesh contingent as they commenced their journey to Uttar Pradesh. The ceremony symbolized the continuity of the Yuva Sangam initiative and the strengthening of cultural and emotional bonds between the two states.

The delegates from Uttar Pradesh subsequently departed from Arunachal Pradesh with lasting memories, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation of the culture, traditions, heritage, and diversity of the state. The successful completion of Yuva Sangam Phase VI in Arunachal Pradesh and the departure of the Arunachal Pradesh contingent for Uttar Pradesh reflected the true spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, fostering national integration, mutual learning, and enduring connections among the youth of India.
